      History

A group of investors led by current Chairman, CEO and President Bill Pittman, founded First National Bank (FNB) in April 1985. Mr. Pittman has repeatedly said "The only difference between banks is the people in the banks. At First National Bank we strive everyday to treat our customers the way we want to be treated." Since the bank has opened, it has been Mr. Pittman's desire to "Treat the bank's customers right." FNB has grown from $2 million in assets in 1985 to over $150 million today. In 2002 FNB opened its first branch in Dumas, and after nine years of successful growth in Dumas, the bank will be moving into its second branch office, located in Perryton, Summer 2012.
